I grew up in a church-going family all my life, but my dad, Emery, was the only one who knew who Christ was and had an intimate relationship with God. My family had been going to a church that never really talked about salvation. Eventually, we ended up leaving that church and went church shopping. The first church my family went to we fell in love with and we decided that is where our church home would be.
The summer before my fourth grade year I went to Vacation Bible School and prayed a prayer to ask Jesus into my life. The rest of my family also became Believers in Christ shortly after attending this church. I really took a hold of Christ's hand when I went into seventh grade. I got myself into a great Bible Study and surrounded myself with great life long friends from my youth group.
When I finished high school, many of my friends left for college while I stayed home and went to work. I struggled a lot when my friends left, and started questioning my life and my relationship with God. Our church eventually planted a sister church, and there I ended up going on a couple retreats that helped me to understand what it meant to be a man of God. I stopped feeling bad for myself and looked to God to put peace back into my life. I formed many great relationships with many of the men in my church. I also leaned on my family for guidance and friendship.
Our church is a mobile church that meets in a school. I'm involved with helping to set up and tear down for the weekly service. I also started to learn how to run sound for the church band. I have been doing this for a little over three years. Chiz Rider who also attends our church started looking for a sound and lighting man at the end of September. He called me and asked me if I was interested in a job. I immediately said yes because it turns out I had been laid off three days before. It's amazing how God works. I am having a great time on the road working with Chiz and the Ministry. I thank God for Chiz and his friendship. I also thank God for my family and friends.
I love the outdoors, and I have a passion for hunting and fishing. The beauty of being outdoors and seeing nature up close and personal, really proves to me that there is a God and that He loves us. I also love to play many different sports and work with my hands. I would love to go to Colorado someday to go White Water Rafting and fish on the Colorado River. Down the road, I would love to get married and start a family.
So…..ladies…..
